　　引导时间状语从句的从属连词主要有 when，while，as，before，after，until，till，since，as soon as;其中，before 的用法主要有以下几种：

　　(1)It was + 一段时间 + before +从句(一般过去时);表示 “ 过了多长时间才 ……，事情已发生 ”;例如：

　　It was two years before we met again. 又过了两年我们才再次相见。

　　(2)It will be +一段时间+before +从句(一般现在时);表示“要过多久才会……”;例如：

　　It will be two years before he leaves the country. 两年后他才离国。

　　(3)It wasn’t + 一段时间 + before +从句(一般过去时);表示 “ 没多久 …… 就 ……，事情已发生 ”

　　如：It wasn’t long before he told me about this affair. 没过多久他就告诉了我这件事。

　　(4)It won’t be +一段时间+ before +从句(一般现在时);表示 “ 不用多久就会 ……”，

　　例如：

　　It won’t be two years before he leaves the country. 不用两年，他就将离国。
