教师招聘高中英语《Let’stalkteens》说课稿

Good morning/afternoon, dear judges! I’m glad to be here to present my class today. I’m number X candidate applying for the senior high school English teacher. And my presentation today is Unit2 Let’s talk teens. In order to make my presentation much clearer, I’m going to divide it into 6 parts. Now I am going to present them one by one.

一、说教材

Firstly, I will give a brief analysis of teaching material. This is a reading lesson about teenagers’ relationship with parents. It is from unit 2 of Book1, published by the Oxford University Press. This topic is related to students’ daily life, so it is very important to encourage students to communicate and use the tips in their daily life.

Teaching Objectives

Given the analysis of teaching materials, the teaching objectives are designed as follows:

1. Students can understand the structure and the content of the article.

2. Students can master some new words and their suffixes: adulthood, relationship, -hood, -ship.

3. Students can use the reading skills such as skimming, scanning and careful reading to get the information they need.

4. Students can often communicate with their parents honestly.

Key and Difficult Points

Based on the above analysis, I make the key points and difficult points as follows:

The key points are to understand the article and learn the new words and suffixes. While the difficult point is to use the different reading skills in practice.

二、说学情

Knowing students well can help improve the teaching efficiency. Now let me analyze the students. After seven years’ basic English learning, they have already mastered a number of useful expressions and known some reading skills. Meanwhile, their abstract thinking is almost mature. But they still need teacher’s guidance to use reading skills to get information. Therefore, in this lesson, I will stress the application of reading skills.

三、说教学方法

Teaching methods

The learning method is that students will study in pairs and groups to discuss the questions and master the article.

Learning methods

Students will accomplish these activities through self-learning, pair work and group work. With these methods, students’ potential will be maximized.

四、说教学过程

According to the above analysis, teaching procedures—the most important part are designed as follows:

Step 1. Lead-in

Firstly, I will ask students to answer the question “What physical and mental changes do you experience as you become a teenager?” Students can speak freely. And then I will lead in the topic to the whole class.

The purpose of this step is to arouse students’ interest in learning this lesson, and make a preparation for the reading task.

Step 2. Pre-reading

In this step, I will guide students to look at the title and pictures and ask students to guess the article’s main idea and the meaning of the title.

Through this activity, students can train their ability of guessing and become interested in the article.

Step 3. While-reading

Skimming

I will let students read the passage quickly and answer my questions: What is the article talking about? What’s the meaning of the title? After reading, students can summarize that the main idea is about the relationship between teenagers and parents. And the title tells us teenagers lack communication with their parents.

Scanning

I will let students read the passage again and try to fill in the chart on the blackboard and check the answers with students.

In this way, students can know the main content and more detailed information of the article and have a better understanding of the passage.

Careful Reading

I will let students underline the new words and master the new words by asking the question: What is the common point of the two words? Then students can find they are combined by a noun and a suffix. Then I will let students give me more examples.

By doing these, students can master the new words and their formation.

Step 4. Post-reading

In post-reading part, I will ask students to have a discussion about whether teenagers should be independent of their parents in groups and then share their ideas with the whole class.

Through this task, students can increase their interest in speaking English and improve their spoken English.

Step 5. Summary

For the summary of this lesson, I will invite some students to summarize the main content of this passage. And I will make some supplements if necessary. What’s more, I will guide students to communicate with their parents honestly. And I will encourage students to apply the new knowledge in real life when talking about personal problems.

Thus, students can summarize what they learned and lead students to form right view of value.

Step 6. Homework

For the final part of this lesson, I will ask students to read the article again and talk about their feelings with their parents.

By doing the homework, students can consolidate what they have learned after class.

五、说板书设计?

The last part is design of the blackboard. As you can see, I mainly write the key points so that students can grasp them.
